2 Day Portrait from Life Workshop: Feb 18th and 19th

2 Day Portrait from Life ($275): Sat, Feb 18 and Sun, Feb 19 , 10 AM to 4 PM

Learn the basics of portraiture using the Alla Prima classical painting method. This is a 2 day workshop that will focus on planes, proportions, turning form, capturing mood and likeness, using a live model. Students at all levels of expertise are welcome.  Only 10 slots per workshop.

Saturday: 10 to 12:30: Planes of face, Proportions, Turning form and Getting likeness.  Demo and lecture with examples of masters from Past and Present.

12:30 to 1: Set up, questions and working lunch

1 to 4 PM: Model will change pose every hour with 5 min break every 30 minutes.  

Sunday: Model will pose from 10 to 1 and 1:30 to 4 in a single pose with breaks every  30 minutes.  Students will paint a 16 x 20 , head and shoulders portrait of model.  

Please bring boxed lunch both days.
